Dear Parents and Guardians,
This time last year, the Leslieville and Condor staffs began planning, organizing, packing and making decisions to enable our two great little schools to become one fantastic school. The excitement and energy the staff, students and community have brought with them has been tremendous. It is no secret that we have faced some challenges this year (moving, covid 19 restrictions, space constraints), but through it all I have been so amazed at the flexibility and positive attitudes that people have brought with them. We now have double the amazing staff members, students and parents.
Each year, schools participate in an Assurance Survey which gives us data letting us know what we are doing well and what we should focus on for improvement. The survey is completed by students (and parents of students) in grades 4 to 6 as well as teachers. If we are doing great, please take the time to complete the survey. If there are areas of improvement, please also let us know so that we can continue to strive for continuous improvement. You should be receiving an access code for an on-line survey in the mail soon if you have not already received it. The more people that complete the survey, the more accurate our data.
This year, our big focus was on student well-being, learning, and building relationships between students from both schools. As always our biggest priority is to be a Safe and Caring School for all. The school has also started using a text messaging service, emails, phone calls and teacher newsletters in order to improve communication between school and home. Please let us know how we have done in meeting these goals.
